As Technical Architect, you will own the end-to-end solution and data architecture for our platform: how accounting data is structured, where it lives, how it moves between transactional and analytical systems, and how it remains correct and provable at scale. You will define the target-state architecture and technical roadmap, own logical data models and chart-of-accounts structures, and establish the boundary between the OLTP database and analytical warehouse. You will also design the processing model for partitioning, concurrency, and volume, while setting the platform’s security and auditability approach. Success in this role means making clear, durable architecture decisions; enabling reliable, scalable data processing; and representing the platform effectively with finance stakeholders and governance forums. You will lead technology selection, maintain decision records, and guide design reviews across the platform.
- 15+ years designing transactional and data-intensive systems - Experience defining enterprise data architecture, logical data models, and reference data strategies - Expert-level PostgreSQL experience at scale - Experience architecting analytical warehouses such as Amazon Redshift or comparable MPP platforms - Production AWS architecture experience across compute, networking, identity, and encryption - Experience designing for partitioning, concurrency, scalability, security, auditability, and full data lineage - Demonstrated technical leadership through technology selection, architecture decision records, and design reviews - Strong stakeholder communication and influencing skills, including the ability to represent technical architecture to finance stakeholders and governance forums
- Experience designing platforms for financial services - Experience with general ledger, sub-ledger, or multi-GAAP platforms - Working fluency in Python and React sufficient to review implementation
